Bringing the arts, science, & culture to every classroom we can reach.
Window on a Wider World gives Panhandle schools access to 145 hands-on experiences with the region's best arts, science, and cultural organizations. Every one is tied to what students are already learning, and priced so schools can say yes.
How It Works
From a district's yes
1
A district signs on
For about $8 per student, a district unlocks WOWW's full catalog of 145 curriculum-aligned experiences. That small per-student investment opens the door for every student on campus.
2
A rep plans the year
Every WOWW school is paired with a representative who meets teachers on a Booking Day each fall to map experiences to grade levels and lesson plans.
3
Experiences arrive
Throughout the year, programs come to the classroom or students head out on field trips to partner venues, whichever fits the lesson best.
4
Learning sticks
Because every experience is tied to the curriculum, it is not a day off. It is the lesson, finally clicking.

Two Ways In
The experience comes to them,
WOWW works both directions, so cost, distance, and logistics never decide whether a student gets the experience.
On a Field Trip
Students travel to a partner venue, a concert hall, a museum, the zoo, for an experience they cannot get in a classroom. WOWW helps coordinate the trip so schools can actually make it happen.
In the Classroom
The program is brought right to the students: instruments, art materials, live animals, science demonstrations, and more. Ideal for rural campuses and for lessons that work best where students already are.

Every experience
WOWW experiences are aligned to TEKS, the Texas standards, so they do not pull students away from learning. They drive it home. A single trip or program can reinforce several subjects at once.
